Inspirations Market @ assiniboiNE pARK dates:

Inspirations Market will be located beside the Lyric theatre on the grassy field amongst all the action!  Assiniboine Park will be providing food trucks, face painting, bouncy castles, and performances at the lyric stage.  Both event dates are entirely free to the public!


sET UP HOURS:
sat. JUNE 24th (6am-10Am)
sat. JULY 1ST (6am-10Am)
All productS must be loaded to YOUR BOOTH BY 9AM.  wE RECOMMEND ARRIVING AS CLOSE TO 6AM AS POSSIBLe.  BRINGING A DOLLY IS a must, along with a way to secure your boxes to the dolly (i.e. bungee cord).  We will be loading in over a grassy patch from the road that runs beside the lyric theatre.  Bringing a helper for setup and load out is a must for this event.

After loading products to the booth, It would be ideal for you to have someone move your vehicle off site as the park will be packed.  However we realize that this is not possible for many.  mAKERS in this situation MUST MOVE THEIR VEHICLE TO THE PARKING LOT AT 54 ZOO DRIVE TO LEAVE ROOM FOR SHOPPERS TO PARK. 
we wILL HAVE A FEW HELPERS AND A FEW DOLLIES AVAILABLE, BUT GIVEN THE NATURE OF THE EVENT, WE CAN'T HELP EVERYONE/PROVIDE EVERYONE WITH DOLLIES.  We highly recommend having a friend/helper with you.

We wanted to mention that after the event, it will take some time to load out as the park will be busy in this load out section.  please allow for extra time afterwards, and your patients is much appreciated.  The market location has been chosen based on where the ground is the flattest, where there is the least amount of prairie dog holes, and closest to all the action so that shoppers can find us easily.


INDIGENOUS MAKERS:
Indigenous, Metis, and Inuit makers may choose to declare their status In THIS application form in order to receive 25% off your booth fee for the June 24th, Indigenous Peoples Day event.

WE ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO APPLY, EVEN IF YOU HAVEN'T GOTTEN IN TO OUR PAST MARKETS.  PRODUCTS MUST BE HANDMADE, and we will be jurying all categories.  WE ARE ALSO LOOKING FOR a few new booths for these summer markets, LIKE GLITTER TATTOOS, henna tattoos, + A BOOTH WHERE KIDS CAN MAKE A CRAFT.

iF YOU ARE A FOOD MAKER, PLEASE SEND US a MESSAGE BEFORE APPLYING.  ONLY TAKE-HOME FOODS (SUCH AS JARS OF HONEY, ETC.) WILL BE ACCEPTED AS THE PARK WILL BE PROVIDING ON-SITE FOOD TRUCKS.

Please upload 4-5 of your best product pics.  We will feature one product photo from each maker on our social media and on our website.  This photo may be featured as a single image or in a carousel.  We will not accept any photos with text or watermarks, and we will not accept photo collages.  Your business name will mentioned or tagged in the description.

Please read through the following contract carefully and please make notes of important info.  We are happy to answer your questions, but we've included some of our most frequently asked questions below, and this will save us a lot of time.
Applying & Payment Deadlines
  • Applications are now open and accepted on a first come first serve basis, and based on your branding.

  • You will find out regarding acceptance within 3 business days of applying.

  • Acceptance emails will be sent out individually along with your specific payment details.

  • Booth payments are due by Friday, May 26th at the latest.

  • There will be no booth holds for late payments.

  • Early payments will be accepted and appreciated.

Cancellation Policy
  • Given that the two events are just over a month after our booth payment deadline, there will be no booth refunds if a maker cancels their booth after May 26th. You will not receive a refund and will give up the total amount paid. If you need to cancel after this date, please consider having someone fill in for you at your booth with your products as a backup plan.

  • This market will go ahead rain or shine. We expect a good turnout for these events, however we will not be held responsible for losses due to weather.  And as long as the event goes ahead, there will be no booth refunds.

  • If the event needs to cancel fully due to extreme weather before it opens (for example extreme thunder storms), makers will be offered a make up market at the Assiniboine Park.  However if extreme weather develops at some point during the market hours and we are able to set up before it starts, there will be no refund or makeup market. If you are not able to make the make up date if the market is cancelled all together due to weather, an 80% booth refund will be awarded in the case that Inspirations Market cancels.

  • Inspirations market will not be held responsible for lost or damaged products.

Giveaways & Advertising

  • This is a combined event with the Assiniboine Park on both June 24th and July 1st.  The Assiniboine park will take care of advertising for the events and place some signs around the park regarding the market.  Inspirations Market will be doing additional advertising with social media marketing, an event page, email marketing, and mailing out small flyer invites provided for makers to give out at their booths at farmer's markets before these events.  

  • Stay tuned for an Inspirations Market giveaway for shoppers happening at the event!

Licensed Products

  • We love to see originality!  Please do not include products with another businesses trademarks.  Trademarks include trade names, words, symbols, designs, logos or other devices or designs.

Food vendors will be asked a few additional questions via email after acceptance.  We are currently only accepting food vendors with food products to eat off site (such as jars of honey, etc.). The Assiniboine Park will be in charge of any food being sold to eat on site, including food trucks and their restaurants.
I have read and agree to adhere to the Inspirations Market contract:
Please hide away storage boxes as best as you can under your table or display during the events.  A lighter/simpler set up/display for these outdoor markets will be perfectly acceptable.  Just make sure to secure any lighter displays to the ground.
